What You’ll Own

As a Lead Carpenter / Cabinet Installer, you’ll take the lead on quality, execution, and craftsmanship in the field.

You will:

• Lead the installation of cabinetry, countertops, trim, and finish carpentry
• Ensure installations meet Norfolk’s standards for fit, finish, accuracy, and presentation
• Read and execute from plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
• Identify and resolve complex installation and field conditions
• Complete detailed finish work where precision matters
• Guide, support, and mentor less-experienced carpenters
• Partner with Project Managers and Designers to keep projects moving
• Perform quality checks and help ensure punch-list items are completed properly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
• Represent Norfolk professionally while working in customers’ homes and other high-visibility environments

We’re looking for someone who has already built a strong foundation in the trade and is ready to take ownership.

• 10+ years of carpentry, cabinet installation, or finish carpentry experience
• Strong experience with custom cabinetry and detailed finish work
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, or mentor other carpenters
• Confidence reading plans, layouts, elevations, and measurements
• Strong troubleshooting and field problem-solving skills
• Close attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger project team
• Professional, customer-focused communication
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting 50+ lbs.
• OSHA 10 Certification is a plus
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
