Major Gifts Officer
National Abortion Federation
The National Abortion Federation recruits qualified candidates that support abortion access. NAF is an equal opportunity employer. The National Abortion Federation (NAF) is the professional association of abortion providers. Our more than 450 facility members include private and non-profit clinics, Planned Parenthood affiliates, women’s health centers, physicians’ offices, hospitals, and virtual providers in the U.S. and Canada, and public hospitals and both public and private clinics in Mexico City and private clinics in Colombia. We currently offer a range of programs aimed at supporting the clinical, security, and educational capacities of our members. Through our programs, NAF provides: 24/7 security support and emergency assistance to our members; continuing medical education in abortion care; technical assistance and training; and quality assurance and improvement services. In addition to ongoing education and training programs for abortion providers, we release evidence-based Clinical Policy Guidelines for Abortion Care (CPGs) every two years, which are evidence-based guidelines that help abortion providers offer the highest standard of care to their patients. We also nurture a community of practice and a network that is a lifeline for abortion providers who are often isolated and in need of resources and diverse support, especially during these challenging times. We also oversee the NAF Hotline, the largest national, toll-free, multi-lingual hotline for abortion referrals and financial assistance in the U.S. and Canada. For more than 40 years, we have provided callers with accurate information, confidential consultation, options counseling, and referrals to providers of quality abortion care. We also provide case management services and financial assistance to help patients afford the cost of their abortion care and travel-related expenses. Receiving more than 100,000 calls annually, the Hotline is free and offers services to everyone, regardless of patients’ individual situation . Our Mission & Values NAF’s mission is to unite, support, and represent abortion providers and the people they serve, in pursuit of accessible and equitable abortion care. NAF envisions a just society where abortion care is a basic part of health care. Providers will thrive in communities, empowered to deliver expert care that is safe, accessible, and equitable for all people -- no matter who they are, where they live, or how much money they have. Organizational Core Values are the principles and fundamental beliefs that guide our daily functioning. Through collaboratively defining and implementing these values, we establish a foundation that allows us to maintain a workplace dedicated to continual learning and prepared to recognize and address oppressions and micro-aggressions. Equal Opportunity Policy At the National Abortion Federation, we strive for equity and respect, wherein the dignity of every person is acknowledged and honored. With Equal Employment Opportunity serving as our fundamental foundation, employment at NAF is based upon relevant factors without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, or any other characteristic protected by law (referred to as "protected status"). We are seeking and welcoming new team members of all ages, races, genders, orientations, and abilities, who are veterans or represent BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities.
