Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning all demographics, utilizing standardized methods and keen observational skills.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies tailored to meet each patient's communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions concentrating on communication skills, speech fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nursing staff, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to devise integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to foster continued progress beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Document carefully and punctually according to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through education and peer relationship-building.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
