Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with total joint, sports medicine, general, and ortho spine experience for a day shift hospital operating room position.

Job Requirements

• Active state license required if applicable,
• NBSTSA certification required,
• Minimum of 3 years of experience required,
• Trade or technical school certificate or diploma required,

Additional Information

• Work under the direct supervision of a surgeon to facilitate safe and effective surgical procedures,
• Check supplies and equipment needed for each procedure,
• Scrub, gown, and glove self, surgeon, and assistants,
• Perform instrument and sponge counts with the circulator before and after procedures,
• Assist in draping the sterile field and pass instruments to the surgeon during the procedure,
• Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique throughout procedures,
• Assist with terminal cleaning of the operating room and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization,
• Help prep the surgical suite for the next patient,
• Support training of new employees and students in the Surgical Technologist role,
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius of the facility
