Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Serve in a charge nurse capacity on a stepdown / PCU unit, overseeing daily unit operations and patient flow
• Provide direct patient care to intermediate-acuity patients requiring close monitoring and intervention
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Mentor and support bedside nursing staff, facilitating communication and escalation as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina or a compact state license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
• Prior charge nurse or leadership experience in an acute care environment
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required per facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma center stepdown environment
• Familiarity with travel nursing workflows and rapid onboarding processes
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in fast-paced clinical settings
