Temp-to-Perm Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper supports the day-to-day accounting operations by processing transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with a variety of routine accounting and compliance activities. This role is responsible for handling accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, preparing payments and deposits, tracking cash activity, and organizing supporting documentation. The Bookkeeper plays an important role in ensuring financial information is complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with established procedures. Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary-to-Permanent Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 Days In-Office) Base Pay: $26 - $31 per hour Key Responsibilities Receive and process incoming mail, including scanning documents, routing correspondence, and preparing check deposits. Maintain spreadsheets and supporting schedules used to track inventory in transit, cash activity, and other accounting data. Support accounts payable by managing invoice-related communications, maintaining vendor records, collecting required documentation, and coordinating approvals. Prepare ACH and wire payments and distribute remittance information to vendors. Issue customer invoices, provide requested company and banking documentation, and respond to routine billing inquiries. Follow up with customers regarding overdue balances and outstanding receivables. Prepare recurring tax and compliance filings, including sales tax, commercial rent tax, and Form 1099 reporting. Coordinate requests for Certificates of Insurance. Process intercompany transactions by collecting documentation, confirming balances, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments and debit or credit memos. Enter routine accounting transactions into the accounting system, including customer receipts and vendor disbursements. Monitor daily cash activity and assist with credit card expense tracking. Maintain organized accounting files and ensure all supporting documentation is properly retained. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or accounts receivable roles. Comfortable using spreadsheets and basic accounting systems. Experience with ERP systems and expense management software preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow established processes and work accurately with templates and structured procedures. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
