EMPLOYER’S NAME: Tata Elxsi Ltd. POSITION TITLE Specialist(s). POSITION DUTIES Evaluate and improve packaging processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Drive key metrics including sustainability, material efficiency, and logistics savings. Lead material qualifications for packaging changes such as resin material changes. Ensure packaging designs meet safety and quality standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement packaging changes in manufacturing and develop corresponding technical documentation to meet those needs. Develop and maintain packaging documentation, including drawings, specifications, and procedures. Manage change orders to update specifications and drawings. Troubleshoot packaging issues and provide solutions to ensure product quality and integrity. Manage packaging projects from conception to launch, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. Responsible for packaging configuration cost saving initiatives, conduct packaging feasibility studies and provide recommendations for improvement. Prepare packaging validation protocols and reports, conduct engineering studies to validate packaging changes and oversee the design, testing, and validation of packaging materials and processes. Prepare comprehensive position papers outlining the rationale for proposed packaging changes. May be assigned to various unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. May require to travel/telecommute. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 12 months of experience in job offered, Packaging Engineer, Test Engineering Analyst, Graduate Assistant, or other related occupation. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Transit Simulation: ISTA Series (e.g., ISTA 1A, 2A, 3A), ASTM D4169. Seal Strength: ASTM F88. Package Integrity: ASTM F1929 (Dye Penetration), ASTM F2096 (Bubble Leak). Environmental Conditioning: ASTM D4332. Tools: Instron (tensile testing), Conditioning chambers. ISO 11607‑1 & ISO 11607‑2. ISO 14971 and ISO 13485. Risk based testing methodology. ISTA 3A. FMEA. FDA 21 CFR Part 820 (Quality System Regulation). Documentation: Design History File (DHF), Validation Protocols. Material science for polymers (Tyvek®, PET, HDPE). Sustainability principles. ArtiosCAD, Solidworks and TOPS. ISO 13485 (Quality Management System). Distribution risk analysis. Sterile barrier system design. Data Analysis: Minitab.
