Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of older adults, identifying psychological, social, and emotional factors influencing their health.

• Administer various therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy tailored to geriatric patients facing mental health challenges.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated, holistic care that encompasses all aspects of patients' well-being.

• Offer crisis intervention services and support for mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and compassionate care to those in need.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment modalities, and community resources available to aid in recovery.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with elderly patients experiencing various mental health concerns related to aging. This includes managing conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment issues that often arise from significant life changes or health decline. Your efforts will directly impact their emotional and psychological well-being, leading to improved self-management and quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California.

• Demonstrable understanding of geriatric mental health issues and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
