Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week

Highlights:

• Cardiac telemetry unit with 43-44 beds and comprehensive cardiovascular patient population
• Patient ratio 1:6 with acuity-based assignments
• Epic EMR with 24-hour orientation provided
• Contract lengths available through February 27, 2027
• Weekend requirement: 4 shifts per 4-week schedule period
• Floating required as needed within facility; no call required

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state)
• BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience required
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Step-down experience preferred
• EKG interpretation skills required (testing administered prior to start)
• Must be willing to work holidays and up to 7 days of requested time off maximum
• Willingness to participate in storm/hurricane response team as assigned

Patient Population & Clinical Skills:

• Diagnoses include atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, valvular disease, endocarditis, cardiomyopathy, and peripheral vascular disease
• Post-procedural care for CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, mitral clip, pacemaker placements, cardiac catheterization, cardioversion, and electrophysiology procedures
• Equipment experience with arterial lines, Doppler, bladder scanner, EKG, femoral sheaths, TR bands, chest tubes, and epicardial pacing wires
• Cardiac drip management and dysrhythmia interpretation
