Step into a rewarding opportunity as an on-site audiology professional, supporting students throughout a collaborative and inclusive school environment. With a home base at Mission Academy, you’ll also play a key role in supporting nearby campuses, reaching students in Pre-K through 12th grade. This contract position is designed for an experienced audiologist committed to making a direct impact on student success and well-being.
Scheduled for 32 hours per week, you’ll join forces with skilled DHH coordination staff and itinerant teachers to deliver high-quality audiological services, primarily at Mission Academy. You’ll make regular use of your expertise to assess, diagnose, and troubleshoot hearing needs, serving a caseload of about 50 students districtwide. Occasional travel to additional campuses allows you to provide comprehensive support when needed, ensuring all students receive timely assistance.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Audiology
- Current ASHA certification (or state-approved waiver)
- Active state license to practice as an audiologist
- State license to fit and repair hearing aids
- At least five years of experience in school settings or equivalent environments
- Successful completion of required credentialing and background check/fingerprinting
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site audiology assessments, services, and hearing aid support
- Troubleshoot and coordinate district-wide student needs in partnership with DHH staff
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication with teachers and support teams
- Serve a dynamic and diverse student population, supporting inclusive learning
