We design, develop, and manufacture advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers in the U.S. Department of War and with dozens of foreign allies.What You Will Be DoingAs a program communications lead, you will be responsible for executing strategic integrated communication plans for the Air Dominance and Strike Weapons line of business. You will lead integrated communications efforts that align with business objectives, and counsel leaders and subject matter experts on effective messaging and communication tactics. You will support marketing campaigns, conduct media relations, develop engaging content for multiple audiences across a variety of channels, and measure the effectiveness of those efforts to ensure continuous improvement.Reporting to the communications manager, you will work closely with business and government leaders to understand company and customer objectives and craft strategic communication plans which will achieve those goals.Your role includes but is not limited to:Developing and executing integrated communications plans to support the Air Dominance and Strike Weapons line of business.Collaborating with business and functional partners, government relations, and other communicators to create engaging content to influence stakeholders and drive positive business outcomes.Manage multiple projects including employee and executive communications, event support, visual content development, and external communications, at the same time.Develop stories for internal and external audiences.Provide strategic communications counsel to business and functional leaders.Support cross-business communication campaigns.Build and maintain key relationships with customer public affairs professionals.Further Information About This JobThis role is located in Orlando, FLMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN-This position is located in a facility that requires special accessBasic QualificationsMust be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearanceProven, superior writing and editing experienceExcellent prioritization and time managementStrong work ethic and interpersonal skillsPositive AttitudeBachelor's degree in communications or related field from an accredited college5 years of professional experience in communicationsDesired SkillsContent strategist with strong instincts and expertise influencing leadership decision makingMotivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlinesExperienced storyteller with the ability to turn highly technical, complex subjects into purposeful and easily-digestible contentDemonstrated experience leading large sophisticated communications campaignsAttention to detail and a sense of urgencyStrong relationship building skillsFamiliar with aerospace and defense industriesPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
