About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Community Investment Officer to serve as the chief administrative officer of its Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). The successful candidate will be responsible for updating and maintaining the business plan to guide the growth and regional investment activities of the CDFI, leading collaboration efforts with banks and other sources of capital, and directing the development and certification of the CDFI. This role involves working closely with the CEO on long-range strategy and program development, as well as representing the CDFI in the local community and advocating for resources in the affordable housing sector. Applicants for the Chief Community Investment Officer position at the company should have a strong background in the banking industry, with experience in leveraging Community Reinvestment Act requirements for community benefit. The role requires a blend of financial experience, non-profit management, market awareness, and relationship building, particularly in the areas of affordable housing development. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree or comparable experience in a related field being desirable. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' work experience, including management and public-facing duties, and a proven track record of cultivating relationships with diverse partners, including those in the financial sector and government.
