Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients, documenting mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the onset of treatment.

• Create personalized treatment and recovery plans that cater to the individual needs of clients, addressing a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their challenges and develop coping strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, revising treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including medical professionals, social workers, and psychiatrists to coordinate client care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.

• Follow up on referrals and work closely with clients transitioning from hospitalization, providing supports that aid in their recovery.

• Equip family members and caregivers with strategies to manage behavioral challenges associated with the client's mental health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients encompass a diverse range, including individuals, couples, families, and groups seeking support across various mental health issues. The role requires a sensitivity to the unique cultural, socioeconomic, and personal backgrounds of each client, ensuring a tailored therapeutic experience that honors their individual story and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment practices, and therapeutic intervention techniques.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, emphasizing an ability to manage complex cases and diverse client needs.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is preferred.

• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders, such as substance use and mental health, is advantageous.

• Understanding and application of best practices from the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
