Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a Special Education Resource Teacher, serving sixth-grade students for the upcoming fall semester. This onsite position is perfect for educators ready to make a difference in a supportive middle school environment. You will work closely with students, collaborate with staff, and help create personalized learning pathways, all during the first semester with possibility for extension.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Appropriate Special Education teaching licensure
• Prior experience working as a Special Education or Resource Teacher in a school setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to tailor instruction to a diverse group of middle school learners
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and case management for sixth-grade students with IEPs
• Develop individualized education plans and adapt lessons to meet each student’s needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Document student progress and communicate regularly with families
• Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that builds student confidence and independence
• Commit to a full-time onsite schedule, 32.5 hours/week, from August 17, 2026, to December 18, 2026
