Obiettivo Counseling, LLC is seeking a passionate and qualified Full-Time Child and Adolescent Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. Work Environment

This remote role is part of a community health clinic setting that serves East Amherst, New York, and its surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to effectively identify the unique needs of each child or adolescent.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that take into account each patient's developmental stage and family dynamics.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to engage young people and help them address various mental health concerns.
• Provide supportive family therapy sessions aimed at assisting parents and guardians in fostering a nurturing and empowering environment.
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health challenges, effective treatment strategies, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to ensure compliance.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to enhance service delivery and professional growth.
• Stay updated on current research, innovative practices, and advancements in the field of child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents experiencing various mental health issues. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that care is tailored to meet their unique needs. By working closely with families, you will help create a supportive framework that encourages the healing process and promotes positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with children and young people on a personal level.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems along with various computer applications for consultations and documentation.
• Ability to work cohesively with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Previous experience providing therapy to children and adolescents, particularly in group settings or family therapy.
• Familiarity with community resources in East Amherst, New York, to refer clients as necessary for additional support.

Compensation and Benefits
