The role reports to the Floorplan Director and collaborates closely with the Floorplan Director, Territory Managers, and other internal stakeholders to achieve target volumes in new applications, signed contracts, and activations. Core duties include prospecting, underwriting, contracting new and existing business opportunities, credit analysis, portfolio management, and maintaining positive teamwork. Responsibilities Support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Develop and execute an aggressive sales plan within a defined market. Build prospect list through effective cold calling, lead follow-up and referrals. Ensure continued follow-up during onboarding; service accounts in person and via phone, resolving customer issues and pursuing incremental growth opportunities. Utilize Salesforce on a daily basis for reporting and tracking purposes. Hit target levels in new applications, signed contracts, line activations and utilization ratios. Initial underwriting of potential customers. Develop strong relationships with ACV Auctions’ Regional Managers, Territory Managers and Vehicle Condition Inspectors. Manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes while maintaining attention to detail. Communicate directly with internal management to resolve credit or audit related issues, questions or concerns. Ensure compliance in completing all assigned transactions, accurately and in a timely manner; confirm all required supporting documentation is properly executed to secure corporate interest. Collaborate with the management team to develop acceptable financial and ROI levels to meet net income and other business targets; analyze risk versus benefits on competitive accounts. Identify and manage default situations. Collect data on default accounts to assist management in developing metrics to improve decision-making guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 4-year/Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance. 3 years of prior work experience in the Auto or Financial Services industry. Proficient English reading, writing and speaking. Experience with inventory finance software and Automobile Dealer Financial statements, Tax returns, PFS, and related financial documents. Experienced in using a CRM software (preferably Salesforce) to maintain and plan sales pipeline. Comprehensive knowledge of all ACV Auctions products and services. Sales manager experience in developing new territories in the Dealer Floorplan Industry. Self‑starter with strong organizational and geographic coverage skills. Able to conduct initial underwriting of potential customers. Knowledge of Business Accounting/Financial Statement concepts used in the automotive commercial industry. High-level financial analysis skills using Tax returns, personal financial statements, CPA audited/Reviewed, and Dealer Prepared statements for credit facility accounts. Knowledge of business documentation (Sole Proprietorships, S‑C­orps, C‑Corps, Partnerships, LLCs, Holding Companies). Strong knowledge of legal document preparation, lease/loan documentation, security perfection, corporate research, by‑laws, signature authority protocols. Familiarity with UCC filings and collateral positioning. Ability to analyze variances and trends to determine changes in key business metrics versus expectations; review with leadership. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and comparable tools. Excellent written and oral communication skills across multi‑functional groups. This position is eligible for additional compensation pursuant to ACV’s incentive compensation plan. Final compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skill set, location, business needs and market demands. No immigration or work visa sponsorship provided for this position.
