Accounts Payable SpecialistDenver, CO (In-office)Salary: $60,000-65,000, based on experienceThis position may be eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing design and construction firm. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing, purchase order matching, vendor management, and 1099 compliance in a fast-paced, project-based environment.ResponsibilitiesProcess vendor invoices accurately and in a timely mannerPerform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentationResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing variances, and matching exceptionsCode invoices to appropriate GL accounts, cost codes, and/or projectsPrepare and process vendor payment batches (checks, ACH, wire transfers)Review and process purchase orders in support of project and operational needsCoordinate with project managers and procurement to resolve PO discrepanciesMonitor open PO aging and follow up on outstanding itemsSet up and maintain vendor records, including W-9 collection and verificationPrepare and file 1099 forms in compliance with IRS requirementsRespond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice and payment statusMaintain organized, audit-ready vendor and payment documentationAssist with month-end close activities related to accounts payableSupport internal and external audit requests as neededIdentify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiencySystems & Technical SkillsPrior ERP experience requiredExcel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formula creationRequirements2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction, or a project-based industryHands-on experience with 2-way and 3-way PO matchingExperience with vendor setup and 1099 processingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage a high volume of invoices while meeting deadlinesAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
