Role Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to support continued progress outside of therapeutic sessions.
• Occasionally participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date.

• Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all ages, with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
