This is a full-time, in-office position only. Anticipated vacancy. Your specific responsibilities include overseeing educational materials review processes and providing liaison, guidance, and assistance to local county health departments and community-based organizations regarding HIV prevention and community engagement. Duties include researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating community engagement and outreach programs, practices, and initiatives. This position is assigned to and stationed at the Department of Health in Tallahassee, and reports to the Community Engagement Supervisor for the Communications and Health Policy Unit.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include social perceptiveness, judgment and decision making, oral and written communication skills, active listening, service orientation, problem identification, active learning, identification of key causes, learning strategies, education and training skills, customer and personal service skills, and knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating.

Qualifications: Minimum experience working in the area of viral hepatitis and HIV. Experience with health education presentations and planning and conducting workshops and training events. Preferred contract management experience.
