Registered Nurse – Critical Care / Step-Down Unit

The Staff Pad | Wausau, WI | Multiple Shifts Available

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system to hire  Registered Nurses for a high-acuity  Critical Care / Step-Down Unit .

This unit cares for a complex patient population including cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry patients—offering exposure to  ICU-level skills in a structured, team-driven environment . 

What You’ll Do:

• Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines)
  
• Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting
  
• Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers
  
• Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes
  

What We’re Looking For:

• RN license (WI or compact eligible)
  
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
  
• Open to  new grads and experienced nurses
  
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
