Project Manager (Transportation)

Project Manager What we are looking for: Aldridge is seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic and energetic Transportationteam supporting work in Des Plaines, IL. This role will work collaboratively with the projectteam to ensure that a quality project is produced safely, on time, and within budget. What you’ll do: Champion a strong safety culture on assigned projects through proactiveleadership and vigilance in identifying and addressing potential safety issues. Provide ongoing mentorship and training to direct reports. Host regular performance conversations to set goals, provide feedback, andsupport the development of direct reports. Using Aldridge’s standard processes and guidelines, manage all facets of assignedprojects or assigned project scopes including safety, planning, scheduling, financials,and project execution. Monitor project health using Aldridge’s project management tools. Enact change when required. Manage projects in accordance with Aldridge’s contract with the customer. Own the financial tracking and reporting of assigned projects or assigned projectscopes. Monitor billings and cash flow to ensure a positive cash position on all projects. Proactively manage subcontractors and vendors, including safety, work planning,scheduling, and payments. Act as a point of contact for communication with the customer on the project.Timely address customer concerns while protecting Aldridge. Ensure there is a plan to meet all contractual requirements for assignedprojects. Cultivate strong working relationships and promote effective teamwork amongstAldridge and our partners. Regularly visit the project site to aid in planning, progress monitoring, andinternal/external relationship development. Maintain accurate, current, and complete records for all assigned projects. Who you are: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, ConstructionManagement, Business Management or other construction-related major, or equivalentconstruction or trade background 5 years of relevant work experience Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities and creativelyproblem solve to formulate viable solutions Ability to travel to job sites as required Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excels at time management and prioritization, consistently meeting deadlines Adaptable and willing to embrace new challenges Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace preferred Who we are: At Aldridge, we invite you to be a part of our dynamic team, where your skills are notonly valued but crucial to our success. What we offer: The annual base pay for this role is between $85,000 - $150,000. The actual pay isdependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training,transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range issubject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for abonus.
