About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide executive leadership for its enterprise technology foundation. The CTO will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, security, and modernization of technology platforms that support clinical care, research, education, and administrative operations. This role is pivotal in leading the organization's substantial technology modernization and integration efforts, with a focus on infrastructure, cloud, and digital workplace services. The successful candidate will be a strategic and operationally grounded technology executive, capable of driving enterprise-level progress and ensuring that technology investments align with the company's mission and priorities. Candidates for the CTO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and at least 15 years of progressive IT experience, including 10 years in senior technology leadership roles. The role requires a strong background in modern infrastructure, cloud-native architectures, and automation, as well as a proven track record in leading large-scale modernization or transformation initiatives. The CTO will also be expected to have exceptional executive communication skills, experience in financial and vendor management, and the ability to lead and develop high-performing technology teams. Experience in an academic medical center or large integrated health system is desired, particularly in understanding healthcare's technology requirements related to reliability, regulation, and patient safety.
