We are looking for a skilled cardiac surgeon to lead a thriving cardiac surgery program with robust referrals and exceptional support, providing a chance to influence long-term development across two locations. This position is for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon to become the inaugural Chief of the Cardiac Surgery Program at MyMichigan Health, located in Midland, Michigan. Opportunity Highlights

• Establish a cardiac program with strong backing
• Step into a role with significant clinical volume and referrals
• Serve as the first Chief of the MyMichigan Health Cardiac Surgery Program
• Develop a dedicated cardiac service line with 25% of time allocated for administrative duties
• Enjoy faculty employment and benefits from the University of Michigan while practicing at MyMichigan Health
• Facilitate team building and collaborate with MyMichigan Health and Michigan Medicine to create a cohesive cardiac surgery program
• Oversee more than 600 open-heart and structural heart procedures annually across two locations
• Lead over 320 open cases and more than 200 transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedures each year
• Expand a cardiac surgery team that is projected to grow to three surgeons
• Collaborate with specialists in interventional cardiology, heart failure, and electrophysiology, along with dedicated support staff
• Work alongside cardiac-trained anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists, as well as a specialized structural heart team
