Senior Technical Accountant

A growing public company is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. Why This Opportunity Stands Out High-impact role supporting executive leadership on significant accounting and financial reporting matters Exposure to complex transactions including acquisitions, equity transactions, debt instruments, and business combinations Opportunity to research and influence accounting conclusions that affect the entire organization Broad involvement across technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial reporting, and corporate accounting Strong career growth potential within a sophisticated accounting and finance organization Opportunity to work on special projects, new accounting standards implementation, and strategic initiatives What You'll Do Research, analyze, and provide recommendations on complex technical accounting matters Prepare technical accounting memorandums and supporting documentation for significant business transactions Evaluate the accounting impact of acquisitions, debt restructurings, equity transactions, and other complex corporate events Assist with purchase price allocations (PPA) related to business combinations and acquisitions Monitor and implement new accounting standards and regulatory requirements Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations related to technical accounting matters, including: Business combinations, Stock-based compensation, Equity instruments, Debt and interest accounting, Consolidations and eliminations Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules Support SEC reporting activities, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings Assist with preparation of acquisition-related financial statements and pro forma reporting requirements Analyze complex accounting issues and independently develop well-supported accounting conclusions Partner with finance and business leaders to assess the accounting implications of proposed transactions Support external audit and quarterly review processes Prepare management reports and presentations for executive leadership Participate in special projects and other strategic initiatives as assigned What They're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required CPA strongly preferred Approximately 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven experience researching and applying U.S. GAAP Experience drafting technical accounting memorandums and supporting accounting positions Ability to independently identify accounting issues, perform research, and develop defensible conclusions Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
