Anchor Point Advisory Group has expanded into Warrensburg through the acquisition of a long-standing local CPA practice. We’re bringing a progressive, value-added approach to tax planning and advisory—without losing the relationship-driven culture clients love in a local firm.

This Tax Manager role is ideal for a CPA with strong individual and business tax experience who wants to lead, build relationships, and become one of the faces of our Warrensburg office.

What You’ll Do

As a Tax Manager, you’ll manage client relationships, review and prepare returns, lead planning conversations, and help us expand advisory services in the region.

Core responsibilities include:

• Review and prepare complex individual and business tax returns (corporations, partnerships, trusts, multi-state, etc.)
• Lead client-facing tax planning, including proactive year-round strategy
• Manage workflow and deadlines across the tax calendar (not just March/April)
• Mentor and develop staff and interns; review their work and provide feedback
• Serve as a trusted advisor to small business owners—helping them make decisions, not just file returns
• Help grow and modernize the Warrensburg office with a strong local presence
• Collaborate with leadership on client experience, pricing, and process improvements

You’re a great fit if you have:

• CPA license (required)
• 5+ years of tax experience (public accounting preferred)
• Strong experience with individual and business returns
• Solid tax research and planning capability
• The confidence and professionalism to lead client meetings independently
• A strong service mindset and proactive communication style
• Interest in becoming a local leader and eventually a “go-to” person for the office
