Senior IT Project Manager

Job Responsibilities Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of multiple IT projects, including EHR implementations/upgrades, infrastructure enhancements, data integrations, and cybersecurity initiatives Serve as the primary liaison between IT, clinical teams, executive leadership, vendors, and other stakeholders Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines with stakeholders and align projects with business goals Develop project plans, resource plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and behavioral health data standards Track and report project status, issues, and performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party services to meet project requirements and SLAs Facilitate user training, change management, and system adoption across clinical and administrative departments Mentor project managers and model strong project management practices Lead improvements to project management processes, governance, methodologies, and IT service delivery Requirements 5+ years of experience in IT project management Experience leading complex, enterprise-wide initiatives At least 2 years in healthcare or healthcare technology Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget Strong knowledge of healthcare IT systems, including EHRs such as Cerner, Epic, Netsmart, or similar behavioral health platforms Understanding of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare privacy/security requirements Experience managing vendors, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams Executive communication, presence, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in MS Project, ServiceNow, or Smartsheet Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field Wisconsin residency required PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant certifications preferred PMP certification strongly preferred Agile, Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in leading IT project management within healthcare, focusing on EHR implementations, compliance with HIPAA and HITECH standards, and effective stakeholder communication. Proven ability to manage complex projects, vendor relationships, and multidisciplinary teams while ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
