Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, documenting initial interviews and subsequent progress throughout treatment. Develop personalized treatment plans and intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on assessment findings. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting a safe and supportive space for clients to share their experiences. Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals and social workers, to enhance the effectiveness of intervention strategies. Maintain accurate records in electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Provide follow-up care and support, including communication with hospital staff and psychiatrists as needed for clients requiring inpatient services. Educate and guide family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage mental and behavioral health challenges. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Counselor at Hillside Behavioral Health Center, you will work with a diverse client base suffering from a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and addiction. Your compassionate approach will help clients navigate their challenges, enabling them to achieve their personal goals and improve their overall quality of life. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas. Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations. Strong understanding of the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health best practices. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal capabilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting as part of a dedicated healthcare team. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a community health setting or similar environment. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for effective case management. Knowledge of addiction disorders and associated physical and emotional health conditions. Experience implementing best practices in alignment with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with potential for a sign-on bonus.
