Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental health, documenting clinical findings meticulously from the first consultation through the completion of treatment. Evaluate and diagnose clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional conditions using standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment. Develop individualized treatment and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and specific groups. Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to engage clients effectively. Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to intervention strategies as necessary to enhance outcomes. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, physicians, and nursing staff to create cohesive intervention plans that reflect best practices. Conduct timely follow-ups with psychiatric professionals regarding clients admitted to the hospital for effective continuity of care. Identify barriers to recovery, intervening proactively to prevent regression and enhance the mental health journey. Guide family members and primary caregivers in managing mental and behavioral challenges, providing education and support as needed. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clients span a wide range of backgrounds and present diverse challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and addiction issues. Your role will involve working with a variety of populations, from young adults navigating life transitions to older adults facing chronic mental health issues. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Must possess a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas. Must have passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective discussions with clients and interdisciplinary teams. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring efficient documentation and client tracking. Experience working with both physical and emotional health conditions as well as addiction disorders is highly valued. Comprehensive understanding of the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, enabling informed discussions with clients and healthcare professionals. Compensation and Benefits This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
