Job Summary: Provide essential support to patients, healthcare staff, and physicians by accurately and courteously collecting laboratory specimens and performing related lab duties with professionalism and competence. Key Responsibilities:
Work Schedule: Full-time, primarily first shift with hours varying between early morning and early evening. This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
- Ensure precise patient identification and specimen handling following quality assurance and quality control protocols.
- Comply with all applicable regulatory agency guidelines to maintain safety and accuracy.
- Manage workload efficiently, including tracking outstanding specimen reports.
- Assist with problem resolution and maintain productivity standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support laboratory operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program or relevant post-medical training is necessary.
- At least one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
