The position reports directly to the Vice President of HR.What You'll DoAs our Human Resources Generalist, you'll partner with leaders and employees across the organization to support daily HR operations, including:Recruit, interview, and hire top talent for manufacturing and support positionsLead the onboarding experience for new employees from offer acceptance through orientationCoordinate employee offboarding and separation processesProcess payroll and maintain employee records, pay changes, PTO, and deductionsAdminister employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k)Manage employee leave programs including FMLA and other protected leavesMaintain accurate HR records while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment lawsSupport employee relations by coaching managers, addressing workplace concerns, and assisting with disciplinary mattersChampion employee engagement, retention initiatives, and company cultureCoordinate safety training and support OSHA compliance, workers' compensation administration, investigations, and Safety Committee activitiesProcess unemployment claims and appealsTrack key HR metrics including turnover, retention, and employee engagementPerform additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.What Makes You SuccessfulYou'll thrive in this role if you:Build strong relationships with employees and leadersCommunicate professionally and confidentlyStay organized while managing multiple prioritiesTake initiative and solve problems independentlyHave exceptional attention to detailMaintain confidentiality and professionalismEnjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentContinuously look for ways to improve processes and employee experiences.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GEDStrong Microsoft Office skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationStrong organizational and time management skillsPreferredBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experienceTwo or more years of Human Resources experiencePHR or SHRM-CP certificationLeadership or supervisory experienceExperience supporting a manufacturing or industrial workforce is highly preferred.Why Join Safe-Way?At Safe-Way Garage Doors, we believe our employees are our greatest competitive advantage.
