RN Flex Pool

The Registered Nurse in the Flex Pool provides skilled nursing care across various medical and surgical units, including Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and Cardiovascular Units. The role involves patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The nurse must be adaptable to floating between units and deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and an active Hawaii RN license are required. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Hawaii at the start of assignment.
• Minimum 2 years and up to 10 years of nursing experience.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with Meditech EMR and use of clinical equipment such as Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.

• ACLS certification.
• Additional certifications such as PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC.

• Must obtain and maintain an active Hawaii RN license before starting the assignment; no exceptions for medical or religious exemptions regarding immunity documentation.
• Floating between Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and Cardiovascular Unit, occasionally covering different patient populations.
• Maintain professional nursing attire with clean scrubs as per dress code.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical Unit 1:6 (days/eves), 1:8 (nights); Laulima Unit 1:6; Cardiovascular Unit 1:4.

• 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15.
• Scheduled for 36 hours per week following orientation.
• No guarantee of hours; schedule may vary based on unit needs.
• Orientation provided for each unit prior to floating assignments.
