RN ICU

The Registered Nurse in the ICU Night shift role is responsible for delivering expert critical care nursing to patients in an intensive care setting. This position requires comprehensive patient assessments, administration of medications, monitoring of telemetry, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The nurse must maintain strong communication skills and adapt to the fast-paced, high-acuity environment of the ICU during night shifts. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs, including telemetry.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Document nursing care and patient progress accurately in medical records.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications.

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of two years' experience in critical care nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and telemetry monitoring skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Telemetry experience preferred.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.

• Must be able to work night shifts in a critical care environment.
• Compliance with on-call and shift scheduling policies as required by the facility.

• Night shift schedule in the ICU department.
• Shift assignments and rotations as determined by hospital staffing needs.
