Job Summary
Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care Nurse (ICU Float) located in Indianapolis, IN. This position involves providing specialized care for patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, post-operative craniotomy, seizures, and neurologic tumors. The role requires flexibility to float to other inpatient areas as needed, supporting the unit's high level of patient care.
Job Details
- Position: Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care Nurse (RN)
- Location: Indianapolis, IN
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), ACLS, BLS certifications, 2 years of ICU experience, and comprehensive neurological assessment skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pupillometer, external ventricular drain (EVD), intracranial pressure waveform management, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), Epic electronic health record proficiency.
- Responsibilities: Providing high-acuity neurological patient care, including assessment, ventilator management, and monitoring of neuro-specific equipment such as Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes modules, Epic training if needed, and unit-specific onboarding. Floating to other inpatient areas may be required based on census.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates must be available to start on 11/23/2026 and work through 02/22/2027.
