Your Responsibilities

• Performing holistic patient assessments, ordering vital diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues, either independently or in collaboration with physicians (as per your credentials)
• Leading educational conversations with patients and families about wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies according to the standards of practice
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Working in tandem with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintaining thorough, accurate records using electronic medical systems (EMR)

Required Qualifications

• MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) or DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice)
• Completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
