Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in an Emergency Room setting is required. License: Kentucky or compact license required. Certifications: NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - Candidates must have 2 years experience in an ER setting. - Experience in handling ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation is preferred. - Candidates should have experience in interpreting dysrhythmias and triage. - No trauma level one experience necessary. - Travel experience is preferred, but not required. - RTO for longer than one week will not be approved unless under special circumstances. - Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted. Description: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting. Required certifications include NIH, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS. A Kentucky or compact license is mandatory at the time of submission. No trauma level one experience is necessary for this position. Travel experience is preferred but not required. First-time travelers with level 1 ER experience will be accepted. Requests for time off for longer than one week will not be approved unless there are special circumstances. Local travelers who reside within 100 miles cannot be considered for this position. The unit offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy, among others. The average daily census is around 90 patients, with approximately 250 visits per day. Candidates should be prepared to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby if needed. All candidates will be subject to compliance requirements for certifications and exams. It is essential that candidates disclose if they have previously worked at this facility to check rehire eligibility. All health and safety protocols regarding vaccinations are required, with medical or religious exemptions considered.
