This full-time contract opportunity invites an experienced Sign Language Interpreter to work in a rewarding 1:1 assignment at an elementary school, supporting a student throughout their entire school day. The position spans from now through May 28, 2027, aligning with the school’s academic calendar.

Role Highlights:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• School Day: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• One-on-one student support in a collaborative educational environment
• Stable assignment through the entirety of the school year
• Strict adherence to the school’s schedule is required

Required Qualifications:

• Active Alabama SLI/Interpreter license or permit
• Recognized interpreter certification preferred (such as RID, EIPA, BEI)
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is advantageous
• 1:1 student support experience is highly valued
• Demonstrated track record of reliable attendance and commitment
• Ability to maintain the standard school hours without modification

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide real-time interpreting services for a designated student
• Facilitate clear communication between student, staff, and peers
