About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join its senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be a strategic financial leader, providing oversight and direction to ensure the organization's financial health and integrity. This role is pivotal in establishing and implementing long-term financial strategies, and the VP of Finance will be a key partner to the President/CEO and the Board of Directors in this regard. Responsibilities include financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, as well as leading the annual financial audit, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The VP of Finance will also be involved in grant and restricted funding compliance, and will provide leadership and management to the finance team. Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree, CPA, or equivalent certification preferred. A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and financial management, particularly in a nonprofit setting, is required. The role demands a candidate with exceptional financial leadership, judgment, and integrity, as well as strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is essential. The VP of Finance will also be responsible for technology and data management, and must be adept at promoting effective financial and business systems. The position requires a leader who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and is committed to the mission of the organization.
