$88k - $115kLA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games
LA28 does not provide relocation assistance. LA28 is the independent, non‑profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community. The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles. Putting on an Olympic and Paralympic Games is a team sport. To build a Games unlike any the world has seen before, we need the best team in place–a team full of diverse perspectives, experiences and expertise. We are guided by the following set of values and behaviors–optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co‑creation and boldness–and look forward to hearing about how your past experiences align with them. Manager, Accreditation Operations The Accreditation (ACR) functional area identifies and registers all participants in the Olympic and Paralympic Games and facilitates their access into Games venues through the issuance of Olympic Identify and Accreditation Cards (OIACs), Paralympic Identify and Accreditation Cards (PIACs) and various other devices under the authority of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The Manager, Accreditation Operations, will work in the ACR sub‑function responsible for planning and delivery of services at all LA28 competition venues. The role will report to the Director, Accreditation Competition Venue Operations, and will represent the ACR functional area through the Event Operations Planning (EOP) sessions for a group of approx. 10–12 competition venues, ensuring that accreditation zoning and stakeholder flows are applied consistently and in line with the specifications defined by the IOC and IPC. Through coordination with internal functional areas including Venue Infrastructure (VNI), Logistics (LOG), Venue Technology (TEC), Workforce Operations (PEM) and Security (SEC), the Accreditation Competition Venue Operations team will plan and deliver the Venue Accreditation Offices, with a focus on providing all accredited participants with a seamless Games accreditation experience, whilst maintaining high standards of inclusivity and integrity. Key Responsibilities Represent ACR during the Event Operations Planning (EOP) process for a group of LA28 competition venues. Develop understanding of the accreditation process and requirements among EOP participants. Coordinate with Event & Venue Management (EVM), Venue Infrastructure (VNI), accreditation zone owners, and space/room owners, as well as with incumbent venue operators, to understand and plan space allocation and stakeholder flows across each competition venue, leading to a comprehensive accreditation zoning plan. Define zone‑level access control point (ACP) positions, responsible owners, and operating policies and procedures. Capture requests for Supplementary Access Control Devices (SACDs – bibs, armbands, stickers, additional passes, etc.) required to support the specific operational requirements of the sports on the Games program in terms of regulating access to specific spaces. Resource Planning Assist with the recruitment, training and management of the Accreditation Operations teams for LA28 competition venues. Define space, energy, FF&E, technology infrastructure/connectivity, technology equipment, look, signage, and volunteer workforce requirements for the successful operation of accreditation services at each competition venue. Support the Director, Accreditation Competition Venue Operations with one or more central projects within the Accreditation Operations sub‑function’s responsibility, for example accreditation materials/supplies procurement, or Supplementary Access Control Device (SACD) scoping and approvals. Games‑time Operations Provide accredited participants with high‑quality and inclusive customer service and experience, whilst ensuring that all LA28, IOC and IPC accreditation policies and procedures are implemented and followed, notably maintaining integrity of the accreditation process as a contributor to the security of the Games. Establish and maintain consistent levels of service and issue resolution across all ACR facilities. Coordinate with the other accreditation sub‑functions (non‑competition venue operations, systems, workforce and Games family stakeholder services, etc.) in the resolution of issues related to participants’ accreditations. Provide support to the Director Accreditation Competition Venue Operations and functional area command center as necessary. Organizational Skills Highly detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ability to implement and manage change effectively. Self‑starter with the ability to work independently to resolve issues, and experience in defining tasks, seeking feedback, and evolving work. 5+ years of experience in major event/venue or league accreditation planning and delivery. Experience of large‑scale sporting or similar major events. Fluent working with Office suite products including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. Demonstrated commitment to co‑creation and collaborative decision‑making. Accreditation Operations Expertise Understanding of event accreditation processes, programs and principles in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated success delivering an accreditation program at a major event, venue or sports league, coordinating service providers, venue teams, cross‑functional resources, timelines and processes. Demonstrated success in leading operational teams of staff and volunteers. Leadership and Stakeholder Management Expertise Experience building teams, and working across various functions. Excellent communication and human relations skills, including experience communicating with international communities. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population, in particular international communities. A collaborative mindset: someone who prioritizes the team and fosters a culture of high performance without ego. Solid communication, team building, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to innovate and achieve results through strategic, forward‑thinking planning. Education Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Ability to work on‑site in an office environment, based in Los Angeles, CA. Must be able to travel frequently for visits to LA28 Olympic/Paralympic venue sites. Occasionally there may be a requirement for working hours outside of traditional business hours/days to support special events, travel, and the 2028 Games. The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 - $115,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role.
