Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young students as a School Social Worker in an elementary setting. This rewarding contract opportunity offers you the chance to support K-5th grade students, helping them overcome social, emotional, and academic challenges. You'll be a valued resource in a vibrant school community near Saint Charles, IL, working closely with dedicated educators and families.
The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through November 4th, 2026, with potential for extension. You’ll enjoy full-time, onsite hours from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM during the school week, allowing you to engage directly with students and staff in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois SSW license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Prior experience working as a school social worker
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive school climate
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to K-5th grade students
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and deliver counseling services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student success
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings; prepare related documentation
- Facilitate small groups and whole-class presentations on social skills and coping techniques
