As a Security Officer - Overnight Conference Center Patrol in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, conference attendees, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, meeting spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas within the location, assisting with visitor access, directional support, and reporting maintenance or security-related issues.
- Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by observing activity, following post orders, and reporting incidents, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
