School Occupational Therapist - Burnsville, Minnesota

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This position offers an engaging environment working with a diverse caseload of 20-40 students in specialized settings, providing impactful services within a single building at select education centers. The role includes three open Occupational Therapist positions: two full-time and one long-term substitute (with flexible dates to be determined).


Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs across specialized educational settings
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized interventions that support student participation in school activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families to facilitate student success
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
• Develop and support strategies to foster student independence and accessibility within the classroom
• Participate in meetings, contribute to IEP development, and provide staff education as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Active OT license in Minnesota
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities
• Adaptable and able to manage a dynamic caseload with varied student needs

This contract position begins September 8, 2026, and extends through June 10, 2027, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Occupational Therapists will engage with students and staff at one assigned educational center, choosing from South, North, Ann Bremer, or West locations.
