Senior.NET Migration Engineer

To modernize a large .NET Framework WebForms application, the full-time Senior .NET Migration Engineer will design and build AI-assisted migration workflows, collaborating with architecture, product, and engineering teams while working remotely or from the Sydney or Brisbane offices. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with teams to understand existing applications and migration goals, assessing legacy code and user journeys Design migration patterns for moving WebForms functionality to modern .NET, evaluating AI tools to reduce manual effort Build and refine workflows that analyze legacy code and produce modern .NET migration candidates, ensuring quality and security Required Qualifications: 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with .NET technologies Experience with legacy .NET Framework applications, especially ASP.NET WebForms Proven experience modernizing applications to current .NET technologies like ASP.NET Core and Razor Pages Practical experience using AI coding tools and automation in engineering delivery Familiarity with automated testing and validation strategies for migration processes
