Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week available. Every other weekend required. Block scheduling options available (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday). Up to 7 days pre-approved time off (no holidays). Contract length of 13 weeks or longer available.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced orthopedic and neuro spine unit with post-surgical and med-surg patient population
• Patient ratios typically 5-6:1 (may flex to 7:1 in extreme cases)
• Epic electronic medical records system utilized
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Focus on pain management for post-surgical orthopedic and spine patients requiring proactive, customer service-oriented nursing care
• Floating to other med-surg units within facility may be required based on census and staffing needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with orthopedic experience required
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred (required for first-time travelers)
• Current RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS (BCLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• ACLS certification, charge nurse experience, and Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Ability to complete 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
