About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: MedSurg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of MedSurg experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Skills in trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, and cardiac rhythm interpretation - Experience with non-titrating drips such as Heparin, Lasix, Protonix - Preferred experience with non-titrating drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone Description: We are seeking a dedicated RN with experience in MedSurg and Telemetry. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work primarily with medical patients including those with CHF, COPD, kidney/liver issues, and respiratory issues. Additionally, patients may present with infections, wounds, and transitional care needs. You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions and collaborating with healthcare team members. The unit has a ratio of 1 nurse for every 5 patients. Support staff includes a CNA for every 5 patients, and RNs have access to 24/7 resources for lab collection and respiratory therapy. Telemetry monitoring is conducted with bedside monitors. The facility utilizes the EPIC EMR system for patient documentation. We maintain a culture of teamwork and support for all staff members.
