The Wellness Advisor at Sunnyside dispensaries is responsible for advising customers—recreational, medicinal, and caregivers—on product selection, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and delivering a best-in-class customer experience. The role covers the entire customer lifecycle from check‑in through order fulfillment. Responsibilities Greet customers and verify proper documentation and ID. Conduct customer consultations, answer product questions and handle concerns. Educate customers on cannabis products, their effects, and compliance issues. Apply consultative sales techniques to build baskets and cross‑sell where appropriate. Verify order accuracy, perform bag and receipt checks, and label/package orders. Maintain product inventory, stock organization, and compliance with safety and security protocols. Process cash and electronic transactions in the Point of Sale system following SOPs. Maintain accurate records of sales, returns, deliveries, and customer interactions in compliance with state regulations. Assume routine inventory counts and assist with merchandise display and floor setup. Support a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience; retail or hospitality experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a professional, consultative manner. Willingness to understand cannabinoids and their interactions with the human body. Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move within the dispensary. Must be 21 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
