Every member of the FDASC team contributes to a student-centered culture that encourages students to engage in their learning, empower themselves through intentional support and skill development, and excel in achieving their highest academic potential.Under the supervision of the Director of the Frederick Douglass Academic Success Center, the Academic Success Support Staff provides comprehensive operational, technological, and student support services that advance the Center’s vision. This position supports the daily operations of the Center while assisting with academic programming, student engagement, technology support, and cross-functional student success initiatives. Through cross-training in academic coaching, student success technologies, early alert intervention strategies, and data-informed practices, the support staff contributes to an environment where operational excellence enhances the student experience and promotes persistence, retention, and graduation.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.Preferred QualificationsPreferred Education/ExperienceRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust have integrated computer skills and knowledge of computer applicationsKnowledge of information technology, data storage, and backup softwareComfortable with crowds.Physical Demands
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Essential Duties/ResponsiblitiesMaintain daily operations of the computer lab and printing services.Open and/or close the CenterProvide technology support to students, faculty, and staff.Welcome and assist visitors while fostering a professional, student-centered environment.Assist with academic workshops, tutoring, study halls, and special events.Monitor student engagement throughout the Center.Maintain office and program supply inventory.Participate in cross-training in academic coaching and student success initiatives.Assist with early alert outreach and student follow-up.Support data collection, assessment, and reporting activities.Perform other duties as assigned.Percentage Of Time
