Social Science Teacher (Certificated) – Torrey Pines High School, San Diego, California San Dieguito Union High School District (SDUHSD) Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Social Science teacher to join our Torrey Pines High School staff for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in history, civics, geography, and critical thinking, along with a passion for supporting students as they explore societal issues and develop analytical and problem‑solving skills. Requirements and Qualifications Possession of a valid California Single Subject credential with a full authorization in the subject matter of posting. English Learners Authorization. Minimum of one year of teaching experience in California. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. Salary $71,571 to $103,136 per year, based on full-time assignment. Part‑time assignments will be prorated. Pay is dependent on experience; candidates with two or more years of full-time K‑12 public school experience begin on step 3 (maximum starting step).
