Surgical Tech II

Role Overview This position involves supporting the surgical team by performing specialized technical duties in the operating or procedural environment. Under supervision, the technician ensures a safe surgical setting by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies, maintaining aseptic conditions, and verifying proper functioning of all tools during procedures. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing for patient procedures, arranging drapes, instruments, and solutions for efficiency. Ensure surgical instruments and equipment operate correctly throughout procedures. Maintain a sterile environment following infection control policies and regulatory guidelines. Handle specimen management accurately, including identification and forwarding. Prepare equipment and supplies, perform procedural counts, and manage time effectively. Participate in meetings and in-services, work independently, and complete tasks within deadlines. Follow safety standards including OSHA, AORN, and other regulations to ensure a safe workplace for all. Perform additional duties as assigned to support optimal patient care and team efficiency. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program. Preferred experience of at least one year as a Surgical Technician. Required certifications include Surgical Technician Certification from a recognized board or program, and Basic Life Support (BLS), obtained within 90 days of start. #J-18808-Ljbffr Preferred
