About the Queer Film Collective (QFC) The Queer Film Collective (QFC) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit dedicated to supporting, uplifting, and connecting LGBTQ+ filmmakers at every stage of their careers. We exist to create the kind of industry we wish we had entered—one that is accessible, collaborative, and genuinely inclusive. We serve queer creatives across disciplines, with a focus on early‑career and emerging artists who are often shut out of traditional industry pathways. Through community events, screenings, educational programming, and production opportunities, we aim to remove barriers and create tangible pathways into the entertainment industry. At our core, QFC is about community over competition. Fundraising Coordinator The Queer Film Collective (QFC) is seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to help grow and strengthen our fundraising efforts as we continue expanding our impact within the LGBTQ+ filmmaking community. This role will support the development and execution of fundraising initiatives that help sustain QFC’s programs, events, and long‑term growth. Working closely with organizational leadership, the Fundraising Coordinator will assist with donor outreach, grant research, fundraising campaigns, sponsorship opportunities, and other development efforts that support our mission. Key Responsibilities Research potential funding sources Help prepare grant applications Maintain donor and partner records Support fundraising campaigns Identify new opportunities for financial support This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, proactive, and excited to help build the financial foundation of a growing nonprofit organization. Qualifications and Experience Passionate about community‑building Believes in the power of queer storytelling Eager to support LGBTQ+ filmmakers Previous experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, grant writing, partnerships, or related fields is a plus Excited to learn and grow in the role Staffing Notes At this time, all QFC staff positions are volunteer‑based. However, one of our organization's primary goals is building the resources necessary to create paid opportunities for our team. The Fundraising Coordinator will play an important role in helping us develop the financial infrastructure needed to support that future growth.
