About the Medical Center

Situated in a southwest suburb of Chicago, this medical center is a Level I trauma facility, handling over 105,000 emergency visits each year. It is nationally recognized for its excellence in gynecology, cardiology, and heart surgery, and serves as a key referral hospital for various specialties, including cancer treatment, heart and kidney transplants, neurosciences, orthopedics, and women's health.

Position Highlights

• Comprehensive Practice: Engage in a full range of procedures, including arterial lines, central lines, regional anesthesia, and neuraxial anesthesia.
• Diverse Case Load: Work on a variety of cases from straightforward to complex, covering general surgery, GI, ENT, and low-acuity patients. Participate in an active solid organ transplant program for those interested in advanced care.
• Single Location Practice: Enjoy the benefit of practicing at one center without the need for cross-coverage at other sites.
• Adult Care Focus: Treat patients aged 13 and older.
• Collaborative Model: Approximately 40% of cases are managed with a 1:3 medical direction ratio, while the remaining 60% are MD-only cases.
• Support Staff: Benefit from the assistance of anesthesia technicians and nursing support.
• Flexible Call Schedule: Experience a supportive call structure with only 6-7 first calls on weekdays per year, along with guaranteed days off after calls.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology.
